Are you a beach traveler? Beaches offer the choice of relaxation or activities such as swimming, surfing, and or beach volley ball. If you were to ask anyone where the 10 most beautiful beaches were in the world, chances are that no one would have the same answers.

The United States has some of the world’s best beaches such as the Gulf Coast around Florida, Clearwater Beach or Lanikai Beach in Hawaii. When speaking of the world then we must take into consideration Europe. There are some that very few people are aware of and this is what makes some of these beaches so beautiful such as Fernando de Noronha, in Brazil, a little known secret. The whole story can be found at http://hookphotography.wordpress.com/2011/08/12/the-twins-lanikai-beach-oahu-family-photographers/

Whitehaven beach, in Australia are among some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. Many beaches in the Caribbean offer picture perfect beaches and are too numerous to mention. Mexico has the beautiful Tulum beach with the Mayan Pyramid in the background. Nmemba in Tanzania, Africa offers sea life beyond compare and water sports to grab ones interest. Horseshoe Bay in Bermuda, and people come from all over the world to enjoy the beach and restaurants in Borcay, Philippines. The Maldives is an unforgettable adventure.

If you are a keen hiker who enjoys the natural beauty of the great outdoors and loves to travel, then add these destinations to your travel list.

Switzerland – the name alone conjures up images of lush green meadows against a backdrop of snow capped mountains. Fortunately the reality is very much like the fantasy and Switzerland has hundreds of miles of outstanding scenery that can be enjoyed by following any one of the numerous hiking trails throughout the nation.

New Zealand – Experience the Lord of the Rings firsthand by walking trails through the very landscapes used in the films. Try the Tongariro Crossing in the Tongariro Reserve and explore a volcanic landscape that will leave you speechless.

United States – Not often thought of as one of the most beautiful countries, the USA nevertheless has some of the most awe inspiring landscapes in the world. Take the trails through the Denali National Park, Alaska or Kauai, Hawaii to see for yourself.

France – Constantly at the top of hiking lists thanks to the Tour de Mont Blanc, France has an endless array of landscapes for walkers. From rural countryside to dramatic, soaring mountains that break through the clouds.

Travel is an activity that most people aspire to. However, not all places on earth are safe for the casual traveler. One might ask what are the worlds ten most violent countries to avoid when making travel plans.

Madagascar has seen an increase in violent crime due to civil disobedience and political unrest.

Colombia is not safe to travel to because violence by narco-terrorist groups continues in all areas of the country.

Yemen should be avoided because of an increase in terrorist activity, according to the State Department.

Georgia has become increasingly dangerous. Travel there should be avoided at all costs. There are no specific targets.

Libya is not safe for anyone to visit. The country continues to fight unrest. Terrorist activities are high here.

Somalia has not had a functioning government in roughly 15 years. Lawlessness runs rampant here.

Even though Afghanistan is war-torn, people are still visiting. It is not recommended anyone visit the region.

The people of Pakistan are losing confidence in their own government. Civil unrest is alive and well in this country.

Haiti has a critical crime level and a lack of adequate infrastructure. This has caused the country to be unsafe.

Algeria is unsafe because attacks, bombings, terrorist roadblocks, kidnappings, and ambushes occur frequently.More info here: The Annual “Top 10 Worst Countries to Travel to” List!

If you want more from your hotel room than free coffee and direct.tv you’ve got to get the scoop on scoring a great deal. We’ve got some tips on bagging the best bang for your buck the next time you stay at a hotel:
Dress the Part: If you plan on asking for an upgrade when you arrive, dress like you deserve one. If you’re going to play the romantic vacation card, be lovey dovey and if you want to look like a busy professional wear a suit. The look goes a long way.
Show Up Late: If you plan on booking when you walk in the door your best bet is showing up after 8pm. All the rooms that are likely to go already have so you can bargain the front desk clerk down to the basement.
Become a Frequent Guest: You’ll have a lot of collateral if you stay at the same hotel over and over again and you should start small by asking for waivers on things like wi-fi charges. Once you’re a loyal guest you’re more likely to get a free room or great deal.

Going on a vacation can be expensive affair especially when it comes to car hire. With customers being slapped with hidden charges, how do you ensure you get a good car hire deal?

Before the day of your vacation, research online on the available car hire companies in your vacation destination. Compare their rates, check the type of cars they have and read their terms and conditions. This will help you know which company you should hire from during your vacation.

Next, avoid fuel guzzlers. If you are traveling alone, there is no need to hire a family van. This will only increase your overall costs. Moreover, you will spend more on fuel. Select a car depending on what you intend to do during your vacation. If you will be going over the Canyons, a Jeep will be more ideal than a Sedan.

Avoid hiring a car with the tank full. This is because you will be required to return it with the tank full, regardless of whether you used the fuel or not. Instead, opt to fuel at the nearest gas station as soon as you leave the car hire agency.

Finally, return the car on time. You do not want extra charges simply because you did not return the car within the agreed time.

Going on a foreign vacation is probably one of the most exciting thing for any individual interested in seeing the world. However, there are a few factors to consider when going to a foreign country. You will want to consider the language. Are you going to a country where you don’t speak the language? If so, what is your strategy for getting around? Another thing to consider is how you will get around and where you will stay. Some people like to play it by ear, which is possible, while other people like to plan well in advance.This/tag helps explain it more. Another thing to consider, of course, is the food. Are you accustomed to the diet? Are you willing to try new things? The last thing to consider, and probably the most important is foreign currency. When you go to a foreign country, there are many options for exchanging money, so you will want to make sure to find the best option. First, you will want to check exchange rates online before you leave, or if you have a computer or an iphone, you can do this there. Then, you will want to find a currency exchange that is buying and selling for the best rates. You will want to avoid airports or places that are close to huge touristy attractions if you are looking for the best rates.

It’s easy to forget safety while traveling. After all, nothing bad ever happens on vacation, right? Taking these simple precautions can help ensure a fun, safe trip.

Check ATM’s for skimming attachments. Some banks now attach an “anti-skimming” block to the card slot.

Don’t carry all your money in one place.

Keep only one day worth of cash out at a time. Everything else should be in a money belt, safe or bank.

Don’t dig in money belts in public. They work because no one knows they’re there.

Don’t drink the tap water unless it is really safe. Some places, like Cancun, the water is drinkable but bottles are safer.

Related to that, make sure ice is made with safe water or do without.

Always ask to see the room before checking in to a hotel or hostel. Check door locks, windows and beds.

In places with street food stands, avoid stands that aren’t busy or serve only tourists.

Check with the hotel for safe neighborhoods and local information.

Finally, don’t do anything you wouldn’t do at home: get drunk with strangers, walk down deserted alleys or flash cash on the street.

Practice these precautions and avoid nasty surprises on the road and back home.
